Resumo
Tomato high prices have drawn society’s attention since this is a product that
goes on virtually every Brazilian’s table. Given that the states of São Paulo and Goiás are its largest producers,
the aim of this article is to examine the existence of a long-term price ratio between the salad type
tomato in CEAGESP and CEASA-GO. The methodology adopted was the usual time series: unit root,
number of lags, cointegration and causality tests. The results show that there is long-term price relationship
in the two markets.
