Resumo
Addresses the concepts of Scientific Production, Informational Behavior and Informational Competence. It then analyzes, from the Reference Database in Information Science Journals - BRAPCI, how the Behavior and Informational Competence themes have been studied in the Brazilian literature. From this general objective we can verify the years of greatest scientific production on the mentioned themes; the most productive authors, the most published magazines and the institutions responsible for these magazines. Methodologically it constitutes an exploratory and bibliographical research. The data collected show that the international studies on Informational Behavior began in 1948 and on Informational Competence in 1974 and that national studies on these themes, respectively, have records from 1997 and 2003. In terms of the theoretical models cited in the analyzed literature. We have that, the models used do not offer indicators for the evaluation / measurement of informational competence levels focused on the Brazilian reality. From these analyzes, it is considered necessary to expand national research on these themes, as well as the creation of theoretical models based on the Brazilian educational, historical and social context.
