Resumo
Information literacy is a process that helps on emancipation and critical thinking of students, which constitutes actions to locate, select, access, organize, use information and generate knowledge. This study intends to highlight how information literacy is applied in a school context of fundamental level and how the library is inserted in this context, The objective was to analyze the development of the LI in a private school in the city of Goiânia, resulting that there are no processes related to the LI yet and the library participation is still average in relation to the pedagogical activities.
