Interação genótipo x ambiente em linhagens de algodoeiro desenvolvidas para condições de Cerrado

Resumo

Knowledge of stability and adaptability of breeding lines before release is crucial in cotton breeding programs. At season 2003/2004 twelve breeding lines and tree varieties (checks) were evaluated at eight locations at savannah region in Central Brazil, following a completely randomized block design with four replications. The lint yield data was analyzed according to AMMI analysis . A biplot graphic was achieved. Locals, genotypes, and G X E interaction have significant effects. Just the first term multiplicative of AMMI model has significant effect. The biplot graphic shown stability for lint yield by CNPA GO 2000-1256, CNPA GO 2000-1093, and CNPA GO 2000-1088 breeding lines, given positive responses according to improvements of environment conditions. The CNPA GO 2000-1167 breeding line had the higher production at seven locations, with positive interaction with Montividiu, but negative with Jussara. This breeding line was nearly the supplement genotype, at definition, reach higher yields at all environments.
