Resumo
Today, more than ever, sustainable development requires reflection and action for the
effective survival of the planet Earth, human and nonhuman being. So, the survival of
institutions and, especially, businesses corporations, will depend on the balance of their
relationship with nature. This work has a bibliographic nature and the research it’s based on
authors and institutions that work with the theme, taking the Banco Real as a case study. The
information was collected in the Center South agency, located in Goiânia city, about the
sustainable actions and practices developed by the company. The data analysis of sustainable
practices was confronted with the practice of the institution concerned. It was concluded that
the sustainability project conducted in Banco Real has obtained positive results, and that
sustainability can be planned / performed by a Public Relations professional.
