Resumo
This paper analyzes the information behavior of the Documentation Center users of 'Casa da Juventude'. Therefore, we carried out a case study with them. For fact-gathering, were applied questionnaires on days 22, 23 and 26 November, 2012 with twelve closed-ended questions, designed on Wilson's model of information behavior. The research presents qualitative and quantitative approach. The results indicated by participants showed that the most accessed and relevant sources are the internet search engines, followed by personal contacts and libraries. For the selection of information sources, the most used criteria were authority and reputation of the source and ease of use. It was noted that when they are conducting information searches, predominates among them positive feelings (security, optimism, satisfaction). The information selected helps to do something and contributes to solving a certain problem for most of respondents.
