dc.description.resumoHealth surveillance (HS) is an important component of the National Health System in the process of protecting, promoting and protecting health. This study aimed to identify the conditions of the structure and organization of the work of health surveillance of municipalities in Goiás that is consisted of two stages. At first it was constructed and validated an instrument with a focus in the guidelines guiding Cast Shares HS and Standardized Model of Programming Shares of HS 2011/2012. The second study looked at the field next to the 53 managers Health Surveillance of selected municipalities according to the inclusion criteria, occurred in April and May of 2011. We used SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) for Windows for statistical analysis, which involved analysis of frequency, reliability Cronbach alpha and Spearman correlation. Deficiencies in structuring legal, physical, administrative and operational, and people management were found, which reflect the implementation, execution and evaluation of actions to strengthen the management and health risk management. The non-implementation by the municipalities of basic actions unshared shows the necessity of establishing urgent measures for the structuring of health surveillance of municipalities, making them able to effectively integrate the network of health surveillance.pt_BR
