dc.description.abstractThis work tries to ascertain the evolution of the use of light in the cinematographic art, having as background some periods of the history of the cinema where the same one was synonymous of style of time through the work of considered originator directors. The German expressionist cinema and the noir films will collaborate directly with examples, allowing the understanding of possibilities of the relation between light, photography and expressivity in the cinematographic environment. Starting from studies on photography, the study seeks to understand the semiotics of image capture through the lens, relating the lighting aspects common to cinema and photographic art. On the other hand, to the artists and technicians of theatrical art, the theme discussed will contribute to a perception of the differences of illumination between the cinema and the theater, relating audiovisual field research with theorists of the scene arts such as Adolphe Appia and Edward Gordon Craig . At the end of the study, a practical production was analyzed, using elements of cinematographic lighting and photography inspired by the above mentioned film genres, realized as visual narrative and integral part of the theatrical spectacle Enquanto Dure (2015), entitled Surrencontro.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoEste trabalho procura averiguar a evolução da utilização da luz na arte cinematográfica, tendo como pano de fundo alguns períodos da história do cinema onde a mesma foi sinônimo de estilo de época através da obra de diretores considerados autorais. O cinema expressionista alemão e os filmes noir vão colaborar diretamente com exemplos, permitindo o entendimento de possibilidades da relação entre luz, fotografia e expressividade no ambiente cinematográfico. Partindo de estudos relativos à fotografia, o estudo procura compreender a semiótica da captação de imagens através da objetiva, relacionando os aspectos da iluminação comuns ao cinema e à arte fotográfica. Por outro lado, aos artistas e técnicos da arte teatral, o tema abordado contribuirá para uma percepção das diferenças de iluminação entre o cinema e o teatro, relacionando as pesquisas do campo audiovisual com teóricos das artes da cena, como Adolphe Appia e Edward Gordon Craig. Ao final do estudo, analisa-se uma produção prática, na qual foram utilizados elementos de iluminação e fotografia cinematográficas inspirados nos gêneros fílmicos abordados, realizada como narrativa visual e integrante do espetáculo teatral Enquanto Dure (2015), intitulada Surrencontro.pt_BR
