And suicide, as an expression of this violence, began to permeate people's imagination and daily life. Although each human being has their motivations for such an act, understanding all the characteristics of suicide can reveal about the fundamental values of a society, since it affects both the individual and his social segment. With countless cases in Brazil and in the world today, suicide has turned into a silent epidemic, configuring a serious public health problem, and in Goiânia it is no different. Thus, it is imperative to study the topic in question, with all its theoretical nuances, seeking an analysis of the statistical data attributed by public health authorities. The main objective of this study is to try to identify the suicide profile in the capital of the State of Goiás, collecting and cataloging sociodemographic data of victims of self-extermination, investigating how this information can influence suicidal ideation and the formation of risk factors, among others. For this purpose, data from the Mortality Information System (SIM), from the Department of Analysis and Data Tabulation of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), from the Ministry of Health. The analyzed period comprises the years 2009 to 2019. The data were analyzed in terms of simple absolute (absolute numbers) and relative (proportions, ratios and rates) frequencies. The 10th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) was also adopted, in the grouping of external causes, with the denomination of “voluntary self-harm”, with codes X60 to X84. Thus, the following sociodemographic information was observed: age, gender, education level, race / color and methods used to commit self-extermination. For ethical reasons, the victims' identities were preserved. In a general context, there was a gradual increase in the years evaluated, starting from 102 deaths in 2009 and reaching 142 deaths in 2019, totaling 1155 suicides in the studied period, being 841 males and 314 females.Item Interações tecnológicas e vivências educativas no Museu Casa de Cora Coralina: análise sociológica das intervenções na expografia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-12-22) Bessa, Rúbio Dorneles de; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9145111011143886; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; Vilasboas, Jaqueline Pereira de Oliveira; Benevides, Rubens de FreitasThis dissertation develops sociological discussions about the two stages of technological interventions financed by Caixa Econômica Federal and installed by Media Lab UFG in the exhibition of the Casa de Cora Coralina Museum in the City of Goiás and the possibilities of expanding interactivity, experiences and formal educational practices and not formal with the use of contemporary technological innovations in Brazilian museums. It discusses the concept of an educating city and the relationship between the museum and its residents after the process of being listed as a World Heritage Site in 2001 by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). It analyzes the challenges to the economic survival of museums inserted in the scenario of hyperconnectivity and the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to attract and train audiences. The TIC Culture 2020 survey considers the scenario of worsening inequalities in access to the internet and the digitization of collections, aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need for public policies in the cultural area. The research methodology has a qualitative approach, applied nature, as to the objectives it has a descriptive characteristic; regarding the procedures, it is composed of three aspects: systemic observation as a member of the group of researchers who carried out the interventions at the Museu Casa de Cora Coralina; bibliographical research based on theorists in the field of sociology in a multidisciplinary dialogue with the field of museology and reflections on sociomuseology. It promotes the comparative study and analysis of contents in other projects with technological interventions at the Casa do Rio Vermelho – Zélia Gattai and Jorge Amado, at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro (Project IRIS+) and the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (Projeto Voz da Art). It presents educational actions of the projects of the National Museum of the Republic. The results of this investigation refute the initial hypothesis, as it demonstrates that the high cost of implementing and maintaining technological interventions in museums aimed mainly at commercial purposes with the attraction of tourists rather than the development of educational actions through projects between schools. The Casa de Cora Coralina Museum does not have educational projects integrated into its permanent exhibition and the City of Goiás.Item Educação não-formal: lives de músicas em tempos de pandemia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-12-09) Carvalho, Mateus Reis de; Benevides, Rubens de Freitas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1571578416333468; Sofiati, Flávio Munhoz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7078667432523349; Sofiati, Flávio Munhoz; Benevides, Rubens de Freitas; Vilasboas, Jaqueline Pereira de Oliveira; Silva, Guilherme Borges daThe purpose of this research is to analyze non-formal education actions, through the musical “lives” movement, during the Covid-19 pandemic, from March 2020 to July 2021. In this pandemic context, one of the health recommendations for to contain the spread of the disease was social distancing, boosting leisure practices and of culture based on virtual products and events from streaming platforms for the transmission of recorded and/or live content. This research proposes to investigate “Lives” of a counter-hegemonic character, passing through national pop, rap, rock and PBM, in a dialectical relationship with those that are part of the great dominant hegemonic mass, mainly the country music. As well as identifying the aspects of non-formal education, presented in the transmission, whether in their calls/invitations, where there is a direction of thought, or in their compositions of actions/activities, to identify the behavior in the expression and in the representation of artists' performances and/or the composition of their musics.Item Representações, memórias e percepções de direitos humanos partilhadas por estudantes imigrantes haitianos: um estudo de caso no Cieja Perus/SP(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-02-16) Carvalho, Yuri Valladão; Vettorassi, Andréa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4314274220564712; Vettorassi, Andréa; Nunes, Jordão Horta; Carneiro, Cynthia Soares; Lima, Ricardo Barbosa deIt is exposed that Human Rights are conceptualized as universal, inalienable and essential rights for the exercise of citizenship and the dignity of the being. Formally, such Rights are foreseen both in conventions, treaties, and international agreements. However, current society recreates its own perceptions of Human Rights and its normative social representations, as well as being able to influence the behavior of its individuals, making the universality of human rights complex. It is also known that Brazil has become a recipient of immigrants over the last few decades, especially Haitians who, when they land here, seek to adapt to a new reality in the face of the numerous violations of human rights present in their daily lives. Due to these acts of violence, memories about the theme are fixed in the social imaginary of these immigrants throughout their lives and can lead them to the said and unsaid, which remain hidden in their memories so as not to bring up all the violations experienced. The present work proposes the accomplishment of a qualitative research with theoretical reference in the theory of the social representations and of the theory of the central core with intention to know the social representations about human rights that have been shared by Haitian immigrants. It was also proposed, supported by Michael Pollak, to understand the said and unspoken caught in the memories of these immigrants about the Human Rights that have been experienced throughout their lives. It was possible to identify the existence of a consolidated knowledge on the part of these immigrants about human rights that are commonly learned in Haiti, but which were in fact fixed in Brazil. Interpretations of human rights vary according to the thinking being directed: human rights in Brazil or human rights in Haiti? It was also found that these immigrants anchor human rights in the social crisis, in the social normative aspects and in the existing difficulties rooted in their history as Haitian citizens, precisely because of the lack and disrespect of these basic rights for the development of any human being.Item “Não é apenas uma modinha, é um estilo de vida”: um estudo sobre mulheres fitness em Goiás(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-04-09) Castro, Juliana Beatriz de; Gonçalves, Eliane; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413052054334814; Gonçalves, Eliane; Borges, Lenise Santana; Braz, Camilo Albuquerque deThis investigation concerns women who are not professional athletes, but who are willing to adapt their routine to the regular practice of intense physical activity and specific diets, in search of a life considered healthy by them, but it also, especially, concerns those women who have bodies endowed with muscle hypertrophy, an appearance that apparently contrasts with the beauty standards for women nowadays. It is a growing social phenomenon in Brazil: physically fit women. In order to understand this lifestyle, I traced a path that discusses the body conceptions adopted by social sciences, going through the historical trajectory of women in sports, which opens doors for non-athletes to access physical activity, as well as the way that health clubs reached the current design, which have been increasingly frequented by women. I set out to develop an ethnographic research that consisted of: attending and observing two health clubs and a Box CrossFit gym; following pages on social networks that permeate the fitness universe, which allowed me to see daily posts that show aspects that revolve around its daily life; observing selected media products, seeking to critically develop careful notes and comments on how articles in newspapers, magazines and television programs have addressed the issue of women who have adopted the fitness lifestyle; problematizing medical scientific discourses about the body, notions of health and healthy diets. To this end, I distributed 15 posters to health clubs in different regions of Goiânia, disseminating an online questionnaire in search of women who wished to adopt this lifestyle. Finally, I conducted eight interviews, based on the creation of a network, using the life history method, guided by a feminist sociological approach.Item E o Instituto Federal integra a jornada: potencialidades emancipatórias nas trajetórias de jovens egressos do curso técnico em Química integrado ao ensino médio em Institutos Federais no Centro-Oeste brasileiro(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-12-09) Chagas, Selton Evaristo de Almeida; Martins, Lucineia Scremin; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6636418419069593; Martins, Lucineia Scremin; Lopes, João Miguel Trancoso Vaz Teixeira; Fornari, Liamara Teresinha; Santos, Cleito Pereira dos; Viana, Nildo SilvaThis thesis aimed at investigating the emancipatory potential developed by students graduated in the Technical Course in Chemistry Integrated to High School of three campi of Federal Institutes (IFs) of the Brazilian Midwest (Aparecida de Goiânia and Inhumas campi of the Federal Institute of Goiás, and Rondonópolis campus of the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso). The objective was to analyze how the experiences lived in Integrated High School, considering the peculiarities of these educational institutions, turned into emancipatory potentialities in the students' journey, from the hypothesis that the Integrated High School of the IFs allows students to undergo experiences that trigger the expansion of their political participation and the construction of academic and professional life itineraries in contradiction to the immediate demands of the market, constituting themselves as emancipatory potentialities for them and for social groups to which they feel part of. The category "emancipatory potentialities" was forged from studies on human and political emancipation and the history of technical and technological education in Brazil, based on readings of Marxist-based historical-critical pedagogy and the sociology of education development by Pierre Bourdieu. The results of the field research also corroborated the constitution of this category of analysis, as well as its use as a tool to explain reality. Secondary data were collected from the School Registration Secretariats of the surveyed campi and at the Nilo Peçanha Platform, in order to outline a sociographic profile of Integrated High School students throughout the decade of 2010. For the empirical research, all students who graduated in 2016 from this course in the three schools were contacted, it was conducted a survey with those who consented, and in-depth interviews with a portion of this group. In order to understand how the IFs developed as mediation in their unique trajectories, it was used an applied way of a sociological portrait as a technique for the orientation and analysis of the interviews, adding to it contributions from Marxism and Sociology of Pierre Bourdieu. Experiences of different natures at the IFs, such as internship, research, extension, contact with sports, arts and knowledge of the Human Sciences corroborated a wide acquisition of objectifications and subjectivities of the human race to these young people from the popular classes, and, consequently, the development of their individualities. Three types of emancipatory potentials were categorized, which include dispositions in development from the early childhood of the interviewees, which intertwined with their class origins and strategies developed by their families during their schooling projects. It was concluded that the potential for social transformation is restricted to an individualist project of the subject, dissociated from a class or group project, linking it in part to a concept of hegemonic emancipation disseminated by international and multilateral agents of capital. Empirically analyzing the perspective of emancipation developed through the school and institutional practices of these schools encompasses understanding the contradictions inherent in the process, such as the recognition of limiting conditions, and the concrete possibilities of expanding this “extraordinary gain” in terms of Brazilian public education, especially for students from the most vulnerable classes.Item O trabalho em churrascarias e steak houses: competências profissionais e aspectos da organização laboral(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-02-25) Copetti, Alessandro Fernando; Nunes, Jordão Horta; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0257540968113535; Tosta, Tania Ludmila Dias; Nunes, Jordão Horta; Bonelli, Maria da GlóriaWith the process of expansion of the service sector, there is an important growth in the scope of the so-called personal services, which are those aimed at meeting an individual demand, which require or not a direct interaction with the clientele. Part of this context are occupations linked to the restaurant business, a segment that, after a trajectory of broad development, has started to house an important contingent of labor, such as cooks and cooks, barbecue chefs, waiters and waitresses. The objective of the research is to investigate the work of these workers, in the scope of establishments specialized in serving meat, called churrascarias and steak houses, located in the city of Goiânia, Goiás. From an approach that privileges the sociology of work in services, aspects related to the development of work activity, its organization and dynamics that mark the interactions between workers, workers and clients, in the daily life of occupations, are investigated. The methodology used advocates a triangulation of data sources, with emphasis on a qualitative approach. The research evidences work oriented towards client satisfaction, which requires flexibility, teamwork, practical knowledge and subjective elements, such as emotional and aesthetic work, central to the interactions that mark the daily life of these activities.Item Gênero e identidade(s) na contemporaneidade: os desafios do não-binário(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-11-30) Costa, Márcia Sardinha da; Gonçalves, Eliane; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413052054334814; Gonçalves, Eliane; Braz, Camilo Albuquerque de; Fernandes, Luís Antônio BitantesThroughout this dissertation, I introduce concepts and analyze non-binary gender identities in current times. The formation of the identity in this scenario happens through political and social organization of representative minorities who take ownership of the means of production of knowledge/power to validate their existences and address their demands. Therefore, movements like feminism and the LGBTQIA+ movement, with the questionings from their social analysis categories – gender, sexuality and queer – are fundamental in order to understand the process of subjectivity formation and subject agency, making possible the existence of “dissident” identities and life experiences. By developing a qualitative investigation on digital media using content analysis, I was able to reflect on non-binary gender identities in Sociology as a relevant theme, as it brings to the debate changes that are already in course regarding the notion of identity and the structures of language. The fragmentation of identities and the structural changes proposed by non-binary people, much more than an act of rebellion, show that we do not need to necessarily abandon the core of the traditional identity intelligibility, but to understand that existences go very much beyond the alleged binary gender truth.Item A participação dos pracinhas de Anápolis e Corumbá de Goiás na II Guerra Mundial: entre a memória heroica e a memória traumática(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-08-08) Faria, Rafael Oliveira; Vettorassi, Andréa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4314274220564712; Vettorassi, Andréa; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; Oliveira, Eliézer Cardoso deThis present text have the goal to analyse the many different symbolic uses of memoirs about the “pracinhas” that their names are registered on the pracinhas’s monument of Anápolis and Corumbá de Goiás. And will be problematized about the relevance of memory as a social representation reasoned over time that represents the image of the brazilian soldiers that fought at World War II. We have the hypothesis that was formed a memory concept that have a winning and heroic narrative of these “pracinhas” by dominant social institutions, on what, it contrast with a traumatic memory of war. The justification of the search is think about the importance of the “pracinhas’s memory on historic and social context of Anápolis and Corumbá de Goiás. As methodology, will be analyse the symbolic power of the heroic memory of war, as a dominant character and the traumatic memory of the “pracinhas” through the theory of authors that debate about memory and his cultural representativeness. After the debate of theory apparatus, we will show the fragments of memory that report honorable and traumatic situations of the soldiers of Anápolis and Corumbá de Goiás.Item O trabalho de músicos: percursos, trajetórias e recursos na carreira profissional(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-12-11) Ferreira, Dercideo Soares; Nunes, Jordão Horta; https://orcid.org/ 0000-0003-4795-0049; Nunes, Jordão Horta; Tosta, Tania Ludmila Dias; Cruvinel, Flávia MariaThis master's thesis analyzes the professionalization of Brazilian musicians, considering how the first contact with music it has made until they become recognized professionals. It was questioned how those professionals accessed various resources as a training strategy until they reached the status of professionals. The methodology was based on consists of data triangulation, a complex analysis of the combination of several methods and sources of research on the work and professionalization of those artists. The subsequent topics were privileged: 1) literature review, relevant to the sociology of professions, but also to the sociology of music and art applied to the process of professionalization; 2) biographical analysis, from on the reading of several biographies available in entries of music dictionaries, the life of 95 of deceased musicians, who had professional recognition, born between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, were understood, where it was possible to analyze the life trajectories and professional trajectories of those musicians; 3) interviews, a total of 59 interviews were granted to the program to the radio station 'Música em Pessoa', a project for the extension of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), which in addition to a radio program works a database, a digital collection of the life and professional histories of musicians who pass the university in the music course at UFRGS; 4) quantitative analysis, in order to understand the profile of the musician worker, formal and informal employment, form privileged government databases, the National Household Sample Survey (Pnad Continuous) of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and the Annual Social Information Report (RAIS) of the former Ministry of Labor (MTE), currently downgraded to secretary. Commonly musicians are more associated with entertainment than the idea of being hard workers. Artists are often associated with super artists, people with high arts and music skills who do not need much effort to perform an artwork. Extrapolating common sense, the research addresses the professional career of the musician, how the professionalization of these artists occurs, is a profession where you start studying early and there are several ways to become a music professional. Musicians to become professionals must possess minimally the know-how, the specialized knowledge of the field; the autonomy, control and power exercised in the work itself; credentials, the ability to decide how the work will be done; and authorization of the jurisdictions, institutions responsible for regulating the profession. The professional musician's field of activity is also strongly influenced by the cooperation networks and conventions of the music world, which do not detract from the musician's autonomy or creativity, but to some extent agree on how the musicians' work will be performed. As a highlight of jurisdictions related to the profession of musician, we have the law 3857 of 1960, which regulates and creates the Brazilian Order of Musicians (OMB), the responsible institution for regulating music work. Musicians in the training process begin to study music at an early age, and use a variety of resources, either private or state owned, through culture incentive laws or educational policies to complete their qualification. Learning from renowned musicians in music schools, music conservatories or technical level enables musicians to work in the market as professionals, but a large portion of those workers continue their studies at a higher level, refuting the notion that musicians would be super-artists.Item Pixação na cidade de Goiânia: criminalização e punição da juventude(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-04-28) Ferreira, Thaisa da Silva; Pereira, Alexandre Barbosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9605611752948124; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9145111011143886; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; Sofiati, Flávio Munhoz; Gonçalves, Eliane; Pereira, Alexandre BarbosaThe research presents narratives of young street writers who work in the city of Goiânia. Such narratives point to perceptions in the action of writers and how these young people exercise this practice in a context of criminalization. Based on a qualitative methodology, I use a discussion group, semi-structured interviews and ethnography for an in-depth analysis of these actions in the city of Goiânia. Street writers is a practice understood by Brazilian society as something that deteriorates, dirty and degrades the public and private spaces in which it is inserted. On the other hand, the subjects who use it point out specificities in their way of being and being in the world. To reflect on this, I present perceptions of a group of young street writers and according to them, street writers expresses a complex spelling, and, not only that, there is a construction that crosses the individual and the collective. The making of writers by these young people also presents a visual aesthetic that is elucidated, according to them, from a specific and peculiar way of being in the city, thus being a technique compared in opposition to others, such as the bomb, grapixo and graphite itself. Therefore, the analysis of the narratives of these young people points to youth practices that, in addition to criminalization, pure and simple, allows us to understand different possibilities of being and experiencing the city.Item Repertórios discursivos de gênero nas eleições presidenciais brasileiras de 2018(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-04-08) Freitas, Lídia dos Santos Ferreira de; Gonçalves, Eliane; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413052054334814; Gonçalves, Eliane; Amaral, Marcela Carvalho Martins; Tokarski, Flávia Millena BiroliThis masters reseach adressed the thirteen government proposalsofficialy registered by the candidates to the presidency of the republic in the 2018 elections, aiming at the analysis of the gender discourses which emerged there, from the lens of social feminist theory. The analysis resulted in the classification of the proposals in three main discoursive repertoires. The first repertoire was observed in the proposals of six candidates which embraced the gender perspective as a category of world analysis and political action, even assuming a vocabulary typical of feminisms. A constructionist notion on gender relations prevailed in this first case. The second repertoire gathered four government proposals, which varied among the concealment of gender to discrete concessions to women, black people and LGBT people from a neoliberal political alignment. The third and last repertoire includes three government proposals, including the elected president´s one, and is tied to an essencialist, familist and conservative perspective, mobilizing the discourse category “ideology” to refer to gender. After the analysis of the three repertoires and its inter-relations it was possible to conclude that the debate around the category of gender in the 2018 elections has put it in evidence and afirmed its transforming and order destabilizing potencial. The dispute around the meanings of gender has taken a central role in the Brazilian political arena, serving as a canalizing vocabulary to a series of stablished conflits in the past years.Item “Lá pro meu sertão eu quero voltar” versus “Mais tarde tem balada”: o campo da música sertaneja em Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-07-28) Gonçalves, João Vitor Bardini; Sofiati, Flávio Munhoz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7078667432523349; Sofiati, Flávio Munhoz; Vettorassi, Andréa; Andrade Júnior, Péricles Morais deThis dissertation sought to analyze the field of country music in Goiânia through bibliographical references and interviews and answers to questionnaires proposed to agents included in the environment. Based on Bourdieu's theory, applying the theories of fields, habitus, cultural capital and the notion of taste, we sought to understand how country music came to compose the habitus of Goiás in order to understand this strong regional cultural representation. The social construction and development of this society made the local culture what it is, modern and urbanized, but with rural heritages from the interior. In this sense, it was also investigated the agents inserted in the field in question, the positions occupied, as well as the strategies adopted by them. A dynamic field was observed where agents engage in class struggles aiming at obtaining and accumulating the capital present in the environment, which is highly influenced by finance capital.Item Rumo à Goiânia: músicos migrantes na capital do sertanejo(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-07-16) Gonçalves, Pedro Henrique Bardini; Vettorassi, Andréa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4314274220564712; Vettorassi, Andréa; Silva, Carlos Freire da; Martins, Lucinéia ScreminThe objective of this research is the study of migrants who come to Goiânia in search of space in the competitive country music market. In general, it seeks to understand how this migration takes place and the relevant aspects that influence this journey, as well as particularities of the music market and its actors. In this theme, we sought to understand the strength that the capital of Goiás has in this economic environment, as it has symbolic, economic and social power, and the impact it has on the life of the migrant who needs to settle in it. The barriers imposed on new participants in the field were discussed and possible ways of overcoming them explained. In this work, doparticipants from the environment were researched, who are active in various productive functions such as singers, solo or in pairs, instrumentalists, artists' entrepreneurs, music producers and composers. These professionals are part of the cultural industry headquartered in Goiânia, from where outstanding products are produced for other Brazilian centers, as well as for cities in the interior. Thus, a research analyzes the path of the migrant in search of insertion in the music market, from your migratory movement, and studies the marketing force of Goiânia for country music.Item Trabalho docente, campo e habitus em colégios da Polícia Militar do estado de Goiás(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-04-29) Linhares, Sebastião Donizeti da Silva; Nunes, Jordão Horta; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0257540968113535; Nunes, Jordão Horta; Vilasboas, Jaqueline Pereira De Oliveira; Silva, Reycilane CarvalhoThis dissertation was developed within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Federal University of Goiás (PPGS/UFG), in the line of research “Work, formation and Cultural Representations”. Its main objective is to analyze the teaching work in military policy colleges in the State of Goiás and the specific objectives are to apprehend the subjectivity of the agents who are inserted in this form of field and their representation in the military police colleges.; to identify the conditions for the formation of a field and a military habitus within the school units called CPMG –Colégio da Polícia Militar de Goiás; to characterize the conditions and forms of organization and contracting of work in the CPMG; to analyze the professional and behavioral change for workers who start to experience a form of military education having work in civil education; understand how work happens within a field, that of military education in the State of Goiás and the construction of a corresponding habitus. The methodology used involved bibliographic research, quantitative analysis of governmental databases (INEP) and of an elaborated survey and qualitative analysis of semi-structured interviews with teachers from the selected schools). The process of militarization of part of the schools in the State of Goiás began in the middle of the years 1999 to 2000, thus generating a specific school field from a typically military management. Considering violence a symbolic power, the journalists’ field can either meet or diverge from the public security operators’ field. The objective of this study is to identify the possible relations between those two fields concerning urban violence. This work also tries to investigate whether the information control about what is violence becomes an object of tension between the fields. In order to verify it, qualitative data were gathered through the analysis of texts from the column Distrito Zero, published on Diário da Manhã newspaper. The mentioned analysis was crossed with semi-structured interviews with civil and military policemen of Goiás, Brazil. This research identified similarities and differences in the way to represent violence and public security, proving that tension between the fields is due to the necessity of control about what should be considered violent.Item Umbanda e sensibilidade ecológica: um estudo em duas casas em Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-04-03) Machado, Sandra Maria Chaves; Oliveira, Irene Dias de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5592965474559311; Sofiati, Flávio Munhoz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7078667432523349; Sofiati, Flávio Munhoz; Oliveira, Irene Dias de; Lemos, Carolina Teles; Moreira, Alberto da Silva; Junqueira, Ivanilda Aparecida AndradeThis research fits in the line of Cultures, Representations and Symbolic Practices of the Postgraduate Program in Sociology of the Federal University of Goiás. The study aims to investigate the Umbanda’s relations with nature, refining the encounter between its cosmovision, of a symbolic nature, and the ecological sensitivity that is so required in todays Society. In addition, through its offering processes, intends to verify the possibility of influence of the eco-spirituality vision, of some of its proselytes, in the adaptability of rituals. Two Umbanda houses were studied during a period of almost three years in the capital of Goiás. The research is referenced by scholars of the Sociology of Religion, such as Max Weber, Roger Bastide, Peter Berger, Reginaldo Prandi, Antônio Boaes, Rosalira Oliveira, Lísias Negrão, and also in the contribution of Social Sciences authors, like Mercedes Lopes, among other authors such as Elenita Malta Pereira, Leonardo Boff and Riley Dunlap. The metodology includes participatory observations of the common rituals and the application of questionnaires, with the NEP scale, which indicates the interviewee's 'ecological awareness'. The analyses indicate the existence of an ecological sensitivity between adherents, but one that did not come from religion itself, despite being reinforced by it. In addition, it was also noticeable some adaptations to the new, which is typical of Umbanda, but still as a trend, in the area of environmental preservation in its rites, such as waste disposal, among other actions.Item Um olhar sobre a oferta de trabalho para a pessoa com deficiência após a Constituição brasileira de 1988(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2012-07-22) Magalhães, Luciana Vieira; Gonçalves, Eliane; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413052054334814; Gonçalves, Eliane; Nunes, Jordão Horta; Küchemann, Berlindes AstridIn this thesis I present the results of research on labor supply for people with disabilities in the period between the enactment of the Brazilian Constitution from 1988 to 2010, analyzing changes and continuities regarding the employability of these people into work. I analyze historically how it was possible to cope with obstacles of prejudice and cultural stigmas allocated to that portion of society, that the 2000 census accounted for 14.5% of the total population. Inspired by the theoretical perspective of Pierre Bourdieu (1930-2002) and Erving Goffman (1922-1982) I use the concepts of habitus, field and symbolic violence from Bourdieu and the concept of stigma from Goffman, in dialogue with other contemporary social theories, trying to understand the question in formal, legal and structural areas.
