The Shopping Center is a fantasy island in which the individual holds and forget for a minute of things happening out there.Item O esquema do mensalão como um mecanismo de formação de maioria parlamentar no País da fluidez(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-06-05) ALVES FILHO, Ari Martins; BEZERRA, Heloisa Dias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5901954357328179Anchoring empirically on the political episode known as grand allowance scandal the purpose of this dissertation (thesis) is to study the parliamentary majority formation in present -day Brazil. In order to understand this illness from the perspective of health sociology, this study focused on women afflicted with uterine cancer. Semi-structured interviews were employed in an attempt to perceive these women s representations. The interviews revealed the coexistence of positive and negative aspects in experiences with cancer and confirmed the stigma borne by both the illness and the treatment. Results showed that public health policies and available health services need to complement individual prevention measures in attributing priority to information about the illness and the treatment, thus covering all dimensions of people s lives. This conclusion highlights the need for a humanized health system that guarantees access to quality health services and exposes the interface between sociology and health, which is essential for the promotion of humanization within the sociocultural context of the health-illness process.Item Identidades de filhos ouvintes quando os pais são surdos:uma abordagem sociológica sobre o processo de socialização(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-05-03) ANDRADE, Pablo Regis; ALMEIDA NETO, Luiz Mello de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1951913717385648This dissertation will discuss the construction of the Identity of hearing children of deaf parents, reflecting on family, socialization and deafness. Firstly we aim to understand who are the family members of those interviewed and how they see their parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents generally considered as part of these groups, a reference for the process of acquisition and the learning of values, beliefs and social rules. Starting with the idea of mediation between individuals and society, we ask what the link would be that allows individuals to see themselves as a family. Contextualized in each timeframes we perceive that family ties are developed within a perspective of loyalty. In the cases researched, the vision that aunts, uncles and grandparents form part of the group that has a direct relation to the need to reach hearing children of deaf parents to communicate orally. Therefore, this method of communication becomes one of the aspects discussed in the second chapter: the language that the children use daily Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) and Portuguese. As a product of a family context, we show how they learn to communicate orally and in sign language as practical sense. These linguistic acquisitions allow those interviewed to mediate between deaf parents and chat we call the outside world, a kind of interpretating responsibility acquired in childhood. After looking at these two questions we will read about how the idea of border identity is dealt with in literature and will analyse parts of interviews that bring to our discussion elements of the way of seeing the world from this conception of being between . In this way, narrative memories about childhood and teenage years of the seven interviewees are used. We seek to understand how they become individuals with their own identities, hearing children of deaf parents, and what is contingent in the process of construction of this way of being and seeing the world. Finally we conclude that identity acquires valve from discourse for people who live between two different worlds.Item Homossexualidades e negritudes: identidades e afetividades no entre lugar(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-08-22) ARANTES, José Estevão Rocha; ALMEIDA NETO, Luiz Mello de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1951913717385648To comprehend the social identities in the contemporary world demands a shift of gaze to the intersectionalities that structure both subjectivity and political positioning of social actors. In this work,we seek to learn through talk, discourses, practice and positioning of men-that at the same time perceive themselves as gay and black-their identity make up.The feeling of existing in a common ground,a frontier, are constitutive of the form of how these individuals become aware of themselves in the relations of power that organize life in society.Their sexual-affective involvements, their perception of prejudice in relation to their sexual practices that are not hegemonic, added to elements of brazilian racism, are elements that characterize their experiences and promote sociability.Item O mundo imaginado, mas nem tanto, de Carmo Bernardes(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-09-11) Araújo, Miryam Moreira Mastrella de; Amaral, Custódia Selma Sena do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8696864863691181; Amaral, Custódia Selma Sena do; Kofes, Maria Suely; Assumpção, Albertina VicentiniAs a cultural event, literature is also a form of knowledge of social life; if it doesn't provide us with answers, it may, however, enlarge the field of social research, making it possible for some issues to emerge as they're seen in a particular group at a given moment. This study intends to discuss the emergency of certain social issues as they appear in two works by the writer from Minas Gerais-Goiás, Carmo Bernardes: Perpetinha: um drama nos babaçuais (1991) and Santa Rita (1995). We intend to verify how some aspects of reality are transfigured in both works, such as relations between men and women, and others. From the way literature shapes these issues, we want to examine how they are treated by social theory (sociology, anthropology and historiography). The sertão, in the two novels, appears as a place of counter-hegemonic speech, because it is not restricted to a display of signs, that is, mere descriptions of customs, landscapes and human types who would be at risk of disappearing due to the area's insertion process to the capitalist logic, i.e., because of the materiality loss the sertão has undergone over the last decades. These descriptions serve as background, as scene for the development of other themes, such as inequalities, injustices, prejudice and oppression of workers.Item Homicídios contra a juventude negra na região metropolitana de Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-10-29) Araújo, Rárea Géssica Porto; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9145111011143886; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; Bungenstab, Gabriel Carvalho; Durães, Telma Ferreira do NascimentoThe reality of a black person in Brazil is still full of discrimination and prejudice. So far, the national discourse of "Racial Harmony" is a myth and it hasn't been part of the population's reality. Nowadays, the increase of homicidal violence spreads the feeling of insecurity and fear on the population in general. But that increase is not the same for all and it has its effects more on young black people. This work discuss about racial relationships, homicides of black youth and racism on Região Metropolitana de Goiânia (RMG). The main goal is to try to understand why does this homicides focus more on black youth than white youth. Despite social and economic progress, between 2006 and 2016 the numbers has increased and in general, black youth is the greatest victim of the homicides that happens on RMG and in Brazil. In fact, the contemporary context of black lives indicates the persistence of social inequality that really affects black lives, leading to dramatic social consequences such as racial disparities seen on statistical data, on observations of racial relationships from the field of study and in the analysis about violence in Brazil. The numbers of homicides of young, black male on RMG can be considered as the reflex and reproduction of racism that leads to inequality and make them appear natural. By the side of other vulnerabilities from the black population such as disparity of income distribution, education and work, racism contributes to the vulnerability of this people to violence, the lack of identity and territory and also to the reproduction of institutionalized practices of racial discrimination against young black people who are more targeted by homicidesItem A representação dos setores subalternos na obra de Chico Buarque(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-08-25) Araújo, Renato Moreira; Rabelo, Francisco Chagas Evangelista; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3994475259808096; Noronha, Marcelo Brice Assis; Lima Filho, Manuel Ferreira; Viana, Nildo SilvaThis dissertation intends to discuss the representation that Chico Buarque makes about the subaltern sectors in the lyrics of his songs. It can be considered that in the Brazilian music he is one of the artists on what this theme manifests itself in a more explicit way mainly in his musical production during years 60 and 70. His music during much of the military regime became quite engaged, being considered one of the main Opponents of the regime that lasted for almost 20 years in our country. In this regard, there was not only a purely political critique at that time against the restriction of freedom of expression, but also social from the point of view of the popular classes, for even though an enormous process of economic development had occurred, especially with the "economic miracle" there was at the same time an increase in the concentration of income the living conditions of the working class became worse. His songs reflect those problems during those years. Through Octávio Ianni, and his concept of "simple man", will be made an analysis of his musical work in which this theme is present. In the first chapter, a brief analysis of studies in the social sciences about music was made from classical authors such as Weber and Adorno, who study Western music, and when addressing the Brazilian context, it was verified that Brazilian popular music has Main character be influenced by the most diverse cultures. For that, the concept of MPB and its relation with musical movements like the Tropicália was discussed, emphasizing that there are divergences in its definition. The biography of Chico Buarque was briefly elaborated, and it has been verified that during a good part of his career, during these years, there was a great relationship between his personal life and the wider social context of the country. Of some songs, in which the artist put his point of view on the popular classes.Item Uma vida sem sentido? uma abordagem sobre a incidência de suicídios em Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-09-09) Barros, Luiz Gustavo Lins; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9145111011143886; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; Nascimento, Pedro Francisco Guedes do; Durães, Telma Ferreira NascimentoSince man began his experience in the community, violence has always been present. And suicide, as an expression of this violence, began to permeate people's imagination and daily life. Although each human being has their motivations for such an act, understanding all the characteristics of suicide can reveal about the fundamental values of a society, since it affects both the individual and his social segment. With countless cases in Brazil and in the world today, suicide has turned into a silent epidemic, configuring a serious public health problem, and in Goiânia it is no different. Thus, it is imperative to study the topic in question, with all its theoretical nuances, seeking an analysis of the statistical data attributed by public health authorities. The main objective of this study is to try to identify the suicide profile in the capital of the State of Goiás, collecting and cataloging sociodemographic data of victims of self-extermination, investigating how this information can influence suicidal ideation and the formation of risk factors, among others. For this purpose, data from the Mortality Information System (SIM), from the Department of Analysis and Data Tabulation of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), from the Ministry of Health. The analyzed period comprises the years 2009 to 2019. The data were analyzed in terms of simple absolute (absolute numbers) and relative (proportions, ratios and rates) frequencies. The 10th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) was also adopted, in the grouping of external causes, with the denomination of “voluntary self-harm”, with codes X60 to X84. Thus, the following sociodemographic information was observed: age, gender, education level, race / color and methods used to commit self-extermination. For ethical reasons, the victims' identities were preserved. In a general context, there was a gradual increase in the years evaluated, starting from 102 deaths in 2009 and reaching 142 deaths in 2019, totaling 1155 suicides in the studied period, being 841 males and 314 females.Item Dirigindo a quimera: a morfologia do trabalho e o adoecimento dos motoristas do transporte coletivo de Goiânia e região metropolitana(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-09-23) Barros, Rafael Aparecido Mateus de; Martins, Lucinéia Scremin; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6636418419069593; Santos, Cleito Pereira dos; Lara, RicardoFrom the historical and dialectical materialism, methodological fundamentals and theoretical conception, resorted to expedients of qualitative approach to know and understand the vicissitudes and the working conditions of public transportation drivers in Goiânia and the Metropolitan Region. In chapter three, we analyze the process of health-disease of drivers, based on the process of intensification of work, determined by the organization of work of drivers Goiania public transportation. The study found a direct association between working conditions imposed by the companies and the mental suffering of drivers. It may be noted, moreover, that the drivers are at the heart of the conflict between passengers and the urban public transport service provided by the companies, this condition makes them vulnerable to attacks and susceptible to an unbearable workload that generates fear a feeling that accelerates the disease process of transport workers, while submitting the intensification of work by business transport.Item Capitalismo e crítica social no filme Blade Runner(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2018-11-23) Bastos, Clodoaldo do Nascimento; Viana, Nildo Silva; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4721163D8; Viana, Nildo Silva; Marques, Edmilson Ferreira; Junqueira, Ivanilda Aparecida AndradeIn this research we analyze the film Blade Runner and its social criticism related to capitalism; the problem raised here is to answer the question: there is a positioning of the film in relation to capitalism, but what kind of position is this: critical, conservative, revolutionary? We begin the dissertation with a chapter dedicated to theoretical foundation, which is based on Marxism and its critical and totalizing perspective, going against the post-structuralist hegemony with its micro vision of the social. Still in this tuning fork we work with the concept of a regime of accumulation within a theory about the mode of production of capitalist production, in order to understand the historical context of the last decades of the twentieth century. In the warp of the first chapter we also devoted some lines to explaining the sociological theory of cinema used in research, here materialized in the form of a dissertation; including what we consider to be fundamental in a film, which is the film message, where the feelings, interests, political positions, etc., of the team that produces the cinematographic work are expressed. The second chapter is a panoramic flight on the history of the regime of integral accumulation, we start from the concept and then we make a historical-sociological study on the world-wide and American reality of the sixties, seventy and eighty of the twentieth century. In the third chapter we have the analysis of the movie Blade Runner. We start from its realization, from production, and then analyze its social critique of capitalism, in view of a totalizing look at social relations that are in concrete reality and expressed in the film as consumerism, exploitation of labor, individualism, destruction the environment and neoliberalism. All encompassed by a dystopian and pessimistic perspective on capitalism in the age of integral accumulation.Item Operários da construção civil: acidentes e reinserção no mercado de trabalho(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2010-03-31) BATISTA, José Roberto; SOUZA, Marta Rovery de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1155042579123151The present study has as objective knows how it happens the reintegration process in the workers' job market that suffered work accidents and they were with incapacity partial physics, settling down as cutting the workers of the building site in the city of Goiânia. She opted for those workers because they use to the physical force and manual abilities in the productive process, constantly exposing your bodies to the risks of an accident. It was looked for to present an analysis of the transition of the industrial society for the risk society, socialization in the work until the consolidation of the salary society and the transformations happened in the process of productive restructuring, of the fordism to the flexible accumulation. For that they stood out two groups of authors, in the first they are Anthony Giddens and Ulrich Beck that discuss the consequences of the modernity. The second is formed by the authors that investigate the world of the work, decided for those that understand the centrality of the work while analysis category, inside of a Marxist vision, aiming at the social relationships and the forms of organization of the work in the socioeconomic context that involve them. About the accidents and job market as factors that benefit the "opposing-socialization" of the workers. For the understanding of the gravity of the accidents in the world of the work, it was used as main source of data the official of the International Labour Organization (OLT) and of Ministry of Labour and Employment (MLE). The data indicated a precarious scenery of the international situation in relation to the work accidents. OLT esteems that annually happen 2,2 million current deaths of accidents or diseases related to the work. In Brazil, it has considered that three deaths happen every two hours and three accidents non fatal every minute. There was also the verification that in the section of the construction the largest indexes of accidents happened in the work. In reason of that those consulted data evidenced that the workers of the building site developed your activities in precarious conditions. The field work used two techniques of qualitative research - participant observation and semi-structured interviews. The participant observation allowed the visibility of a work stonemason and performance of the workers front to the productive process. It was verified that the risks of damages to the worker's health are resulted of the precarious conditions of the work atmosphere and practice of insecure acts as, for instance, the not due use of EPI's. Those practices of insecure acts were analyzed with base in the Law Regulatory sent by department of Labor and Employment. The eight accomplished interviews allowed to knowing the accident victims perception on your profession, safety, prevention of accidents, work accident and return to your activities work. The reports presented by the accident victims they revealed the work as half basic of social insert, though the work accidents left sequels that impeded the return to your activities you work.Item Opção mágica: conversão de kardecista à umbanda na cidade de Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2007-08-31) BELMONT, Rafael Neves Flôres; SILVA, Joana Aparecida Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2026902199057983Umbanda is conceived in the connection between popular cults and Spiritism and Candomble, and it is established in the scope of the big towns. For one side, there is a trying of getting white , or civilizing these services putting them together to the kardecist doctrine. For the other side, this doctrine itself has searched in the African sources ritualistic and of possession roots, in a moment of getting black . In this way, making part of these two movements, it appears Umbanda, which nowadays in Brazil can not be seen as homogeneous, but such as a ritualistic and doctrinaire complex that, despite the differences, has kept in itself a ritual and mediúnica line. In other words, the all deformed that we name Umbanda has established as a way of identity a mediunic continuum. In the extremities of this continuum are, by one side, Candomble, on the other side, Spiritism. In this way, talking about the kardecists converting to Umbanda it is to talk about a location changing in the mediunic continuum. To analyze this conversion requests, although, the understanding of how this changing is established in the practice, what doctrinaire and ritualistic elements influence it and how it is deal. So, it was noticed that the ritual is the top of the non-according between the two religions in the present work, Kardecismo and Umbanda. It is in the difference between these rituals, its doctrinaire code, and, mainly in the way of how people participate, that the conversion will settle and solidify.Item Interações tecnológicas e vivências educativas no Museu Casa de Cora Coralina: análise sociológica das intervenções na expografia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-12-22) Bessa, Rúbio Dorneles de; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9145111011143886; Oliveira, Dijaci David de; Vilasboas, Jaqueline Pereira de Oliveira; Benevides, Rubens de FreitasThis dissertation develops sociological discussions about the two stages of technological interventions financed by Caixa Econômica Federal and installed by Media Lab UFG in the exhibition of the Casa de Cora Coralina Museum in the City of Goiás and the possibilities of expanding interactivity, experiences and formal educational practices and not formal with the use of contemporary technological innovations in Brazilian museums. It discusses the concept of an educating city and the relationship between the museum and its residents after the process of being listed as a World Heritage Site in 2001 by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). It analyzes the challenges to the economic survival of museums inserted in the scenario of hyperconnectivity and the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to attract and train audiences. The TIC Culture 2020 survey considers the scenario of worsening inequalities in access to the internet and the digitization of collections, aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need for public policies in the cultural area. The research methodology has a qualitative approach, applied nature, as to the objectives it has a descriptive characteristic; regarding the procedures, it is composed of three aspects: systemic observation as a member of the group of researchers who carried out the interventions at the Museu Casa de Cora Coralina; bibliographical research based on theorists in the field of sociology in a multidisciplinary dialogue with the field of museology and reflections on sociomuseology. It promotes the comparative study and analysis of contents in other projects with technological interventions at the Casa do Rio Vermelho – Zélia Gattai and Jorge Amado, at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro (Project IRIS+) and the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (Projeto Voz da Art). It presents educational actions of the projects of the National Museum of the Republic. The results of this investigation refute the initial hypothesis, as it demonstrates that the high cost of implementing and maintaining technological interventions in museums aimed mainly at commercial purposes with the attraction of tourists rather than the development of educational actions through projects between schools. The Casa de Cora Coralina Museum does not have educational projects integrated into its permanent exhibition and the City of Goiás.Item “Eu nasci para ser assistente social”: o trabalho em serviço social, profissionalização, identidade e gênero(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-07-04) Bolzan, Débora de Paula; Nunes, Jordão Horta; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0257540968113535; Nunes, Jordão Horta; Nunes, Christiane Girard Ferreira; Santos, Cleito Pereira dosThis dissertation aims to analyze sociologically labor relations in social work in the metropolitan area of Goiânia, revealing how the social workers are affected and experience the changes taking place in the universe of work and its implications for the category. Still, there are as specific objectives: to outline the socioeconomic profile of social workers; to analyze the process of construction of social identities of these professionals; and to identify how ownership of emotional labor and gender constructions affect the profession. The methodology has qualitative emphasis. A semistructured interview with social workers was the main procedure for the construction of qualitative data, with technical elements of narrative interviews. The quantitative data were used as sources of secondary data bases, as Census, PNAD and RAIS sources. The results indicate a visible process of casualization of working conditions in social service, particularly with respect to the type of job contract (temporary contracts, commissioned position, volunteer work), diferent types of work journey arrangements, widely disparate wages, unstable links and absence of social rights (holidays, maternity leave, etc). Even workers with effective statutory relationship are affected by the dichotomy of contracts, reduction of competitions for public servants and scarce investment in physical, material and human conditions of work. The results also indicate that the Social Work persists as female niche, which has a historical and social devaluation, exposed mainly in discriminatory manifestations related to career choice of Social Work. Social workers manage their gender relations in the permanence of housework reconciled to professional work, setting up a gender identity. Finally, the research exposes that emotional labor is done intermittently in this profession and that emotions are administered in depth level, contributing to the emotional labor be constituted as part of the professional identity.Item "Reescrever minha história, virar a página, seguir em frente": trajetórias de mulheres pós-situações de violência(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-07-08) Borges, Érika Nunes de Medeiros Ferreira; Gonçalves, Eliane; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413052054334814; Gonçalves, Eliane; Bandeira, Lourdes Maria; Durães, Telma NascimentoThe violence against women is a frequent problem in several life stories which marks subjectivities and memories. However, such personal experiences hardly ever are shared and heard. This research displaces to the public space of science a problem reputed to be in the private sphere of intimate relationships. Of qualitative approach, it consists of a set of five interviews with women currently living in Goiânia, who experienced the ambience of violence triggered by their partners - boyfriends or husbands. I seize the subjective meanings attributed to their experiences and I identify processes of subjectivation, with emphasis on the attempts of ressignification and resilience by the subject of the investigation, which, for its parts, points out possible ruptures with suffered violences. The study shows that, sometimes, there is a refusal to see violence as social-based process, but personal one associated with explosives and jealous behaviors. Also, the violence is displayed, in the cases investigated, as embodied, culturally contextualized and with historical specificities. Women who experienced violence remain covered by impotence, trauma, fear, psychological disorders, and lack of support of friends and family. Herewith, the study shows that even women, with high educational level and not financially dependent on their partners, have difficult to expose, denounce and seek professional help (except one who prosecuted her aggressor). The reported violence situations were not always the same, as they take different formats, in certain contexts and circumstances. However, there are common aspects shared across those women (and little less so in others), as the negative effects of violence still resonate in their lives and in whole society. Their sexist and misogynist violence survivor stories are a positive indicator whether we consider femicide the most severe end of the cycle of violence against women. Therefore, the interviews allowed to conclude that the women, who have suffered violence at the hands of their own partners, achieved to make new sense with their lives by pointing out the desire to rebuild something already –or soon to be – conquered in the narratives of them all. Their attempts to ressignification point to a shift in the balance of power, such as feminist studies underscore the theme of violence. The notion of subjectivity as an agency and not just slavery, leading to the possibility – at least in some contexts – of the strength and freedom of action.
