Resumo

This work presents the results of a qualitative case study carried out in the Pedagogy Faculty of the University of Rio Verde/FESURV. Registered in the Line of Inquiry Teaching Formation and Professionalization, of the Program of Postgraduation in Education, of the Education Faculty /UFG, the study aimed to know and to analyse the way the work in group is developed by the teachers, besides checking the existence of signs of which the work in group carried out in the Course of Pedagogy contributes to the formation of collaborating people. The adopted proceedings included analysis of the teaching plans; application of questionnaires for pupils and teachers of the course; and the realization of two focal groups: one, with teachers; other, with pupils. The theoretical referential system is based on the concepts of mediation and interaction of Vygotsky; it contemplates authors who discuss strategies of application of the work in group; it presents the conception of the collaborative approach. The considered results show that, in spite of a constant practice in the classes, teachers and pupils still find many difficulties in the driving and execution of group activities. The investigation also showed that, in spite of the activities being carried out from a technical dimension, there is a favorable environment so that a culture of collaborative learning is created, strategy that favors the participation, the communication and the interaction among the participants, making possible bigger learning
