dc.description.abstractWe propose with this dissertation, an analysis of the romance Call me by Your Name, which was published in 2007 by the American writer André Aciman and translated into Portu-guese in 2018. The romance narrates the homoaffective relationship between Elio Perlman and Oliver in the 1980s at Rivieira Italiana. We will seek to analyze the way in which the character Elio discovers himself as a gay subject, through the desire he feels for Oliver, highlighting the multicultural relationships that he experiences throughout his life and that help in the formation of his fragmented identity, which is in constant transformation, for this, we will start from the reflections of Néstor Canclini (1997/2006), Homi K. Bhabha (2012), Stuart Hall (2006/2011), among others. We will also discuss how hybrid relation-ships shape the identity of Elio and Oliver. Observing how the body and homoerotic desire are represented in the romance, taking into account that the desire is linked to the search for the completeness of the being, as a way to legitimize a yearning, as well as issues re-lated to the abject body, from from the propositions of Georges Bataille (1987) Zygmunt Bauman (2004), Judith Butler (2010), Didier Eribon (2008) Thinking about the subjectivity of the body and homoerotic desire, we intend to problematize gender issues in order to think about existing conflicts related to identity gay in a heteronormative society.eng

dc.description.resumoNesta dissertação propomos uma análise do romance Me chame pelo seu nome que foi publicado em 2007 pelo escritor americano André Aciman e traduzido para o português em 2018. A obra narra o relacionamento homoerótico entre Elio Perlman e Oliver na década de 1980 na Rivieira Italiana. A partir de uma reflexão acerca da subjetividade, do corpo e do desejo homoerótico entre os protagonistas, pretendemos problematizar questões relacionadas aos conflitos existentes referentes à identidade dos protagonistas em um contexto multicultural e, ao mesmo tempo, heteronormativo. Partindo deste pressuposto, no decorrer da pesquisa, analisaremos o modo com que o personagem Elio se descobre enquanto sujeito gay, por meio do desejo que sente por Oliver, destacando as relações multiculturais que vivencia ao longo de sua vida e que o auxiliam na formação de sua identidade fragmentada, que está em constante transformação. Para alcançar nossos objetivos, partiremos das reflexões de Néstor Canclini (1997/2006), Homi K. Bhabha (2012) e Stuart Hall (2006/2011), dentre outros. Dissertaremos, também, sobre como as relações híbridas figuram a identidade de Elio e Oliver, observando de que maneira o corpo e o desejo homoerótico são representados no romance, levando em consideração que o desejo está ligado à busca pela completude do ser, como forma de legitimar um anseio, bem como as questões relacionadas ao corpo abjeto, a partir das proposições de Georges Bataille (1987), Zygmunt Bauman (2004), Judith Butler (2010) e Didier Eribon (2008), por exemplo.pt_BR
