dc.description.abstractThis dissertation aims to identify affective heritage in Goiânia’s downtown, that is, to identify the places and buildings – institutionalized or not – that are most representative for the population of Goiânia and to apprehend their significance and meanings supported by affectivity. Our interest here is not limited by the largely known properties of cultural heritage but also its capacity of mobilizing some deep aspects of human subjectivity. It starts from the premise that the heritage of a city goes beyond legal and institutional matters, having its values supported, mainly, in the reasoning of the community that sustains them. In this way, the existing connections between the people of Goiânia and the central neighborhood are sought, both for officially recognized assets, and for those that are not object of preservation. The research adopts a qualitative method of approach, involving a conceptual theoretical survey, document analysis and field research, the last one being carried out through cartography and ethnography procedures, which aims to explore the places from a watchful and sensitive immersion, glimpsing affective possibilities. Then, the opening to new semantics of heritage, directly connected to appropriations and experiences contributes to the understanding of the downtown and also to its valuation and conservation by the community.eng

dc.description.resumoEsta dissertação tem como objetivo a identificação de patrimônios afetivos no centro de Goiânia, isto é, identificar os lugares e edifícios – institucionalizados ou não – mais representativos para a população goianiense e apreender a significação e os sentidos destes amparados pela afetividade. Aqui, nosso interesse não se limita às propriedades amplamente conhecidas do patrimônio cultural, mas abrange também a sua capacidade de despertar os aspectos mais profundos da subjetividade humana. Parte-se da premissa de que os patrimônios de uma cidade ultrapassam as questões jurídicas e institucionais, tendo seus valores apoiados, principalmente, no discurso da comunidade que os sustenta. Busca-se, desse modo, as conexões existentes entre os goianienses e o Setor Central, tanto por bens oficialmente reconhecidos, quanto por aqueles que não são objeto de preservação. A pesquisa adota método de abordagem qualitativo, envolvendo levantamento teórico conceitual, análise documental e pesquisa de campo, sendo essa última realizada através de procedimentos da cartografia e da etnografia, que visam explorar os lugares a partir de uma imersão atenta e sensível, vislumbrando possibilidades afetivas. Assim, a abertura para uma nova semântica de patrimônio, mais diretamente ligada às apropriações e vivências, contribui tanto para a compreensão do patrimônio do Setor Central, quanto para sua valorização e preservação pela comunidade.
