The ethnography carried out in the Jardim Botânico Occupation, a group of houses that arose more than 60 years ago to house families attracted by the construction of Goiânia, the first capital of Brazil planned in the twentieth century, through the anthropological look and participant camera, revealed memories of occupation and the relationship that people have with places. With the proposal of a Urban Operation Consortium in the region and the threat of eviction of the residents, ethnography was extended to public audiences, where cultural debate in social practice provided clues as to the asymmetric relations of power and knowledge among the actors involved.
