Tese (Doutorado em Sociologia) - Universidade Federal de Goiás, Goiânia, 2017.http://repositorio.bc.ufg.br/tede/handle/tede/8224This research analyzes the social representations of the professors of Sociology, High School, in the city of Goiânia / Goiás on the teaching work and the relations existing in the school daily life, with the purpose of evidencing the type of representation that the professor of Sociology of the state network of teaching, presents about its role as a teacher and the social, political and pedagogical relationships that are established in the daily school life. Based on the Theory of Social Representation and as methodological procedures, observation, interview and questionnaire were used. The problematizing question that guided the research was: The social representations of the school and about the role of the educator, specifically the teacher of Sociology, in High School, elaborated by the teachers, refer to educational practices that reinforce the precariousness, devaluation and the teacher as a promoter and intervener of the educational reality?
