For this, we treat the mathematical language, understanding of the modes of representation and the teaching of geometry combined with other areas of Mathematics in Basic Education. The literature search included a brief study of geometry teaching in the public schools, exploring the presence in textbooks of history of mathematics, problem solving and representations.
