For this, we made a review of theoretical and empirical arguments that were developed in the main studies on this relationship to later develop an empirical model that is able to check the main assumptions that underlie this area of study. The main motivation of this is the level of depth in terms of the discussion of this literature, then expecting for a result that suggests the existence of a positive relationship between financial intermediaries and economic growth.
