We suggest that it is plausible, and productive, to analyze such narratives of our time as myths, once they are a product of a modern society which is also somewhat mythical. Therefore, in our work, we try to relate myth, Modernity and journalism within the perspective of social construction of reality, in order to infer a theory of social construction of illusion.
