Starting from a diachronic course of the chanchadas (1930-1950) and the pornochanchadas (1970), we seek to contemplate the state of the art of these phases by means of the main authors: Bernadet (2008), Catani e Souza (1983), Dias (1987), Sternheim (2004), Viany (2009) and Vieira (1987). We start from the hypothesis that the neochanchada is the most appropriate term to refer to the national film production, and from the hybridization between the cinema and television we highlight the constituent elements of this new cinema, considered popular. To better understand this phenomenon, this qualitative approach research uses as method the bibliographic survey and the film analysis as tools for collection, systematization and data study.
