It is the result of studies and discussions developed during the Working Group and Study (GTE) The teaching of Libras / Portuguese written for deaf people in basic education: experiences with interpreting teachers. The data from our meetings were analyzed and problematized from a dialogic and discursive perspective of teaching and language, in Bakhtin (1997; 2010) and Freire (2011; 2017a; 2017b; 2018). In response to the question of how teachers and interpreters of Libras / Portuguese language can contribute to a bilingual education in the elementary school, we consider the particularities of the subject and his responsiveness to the discourse of the other.
