In this, the objective is to elucidate the way in which this subjectivity appears in Coutinho's device, where the register of the imaginary prevails. The concepts of narcissism and the image of I are taken, and, extracted from the participants' testimonies, the significant extracts that are repeated and that point to a failure, at the same time that it expresses, as a mask, a another scene, in which something beyond the imaginary appears.
