Tese (Doutorado em Ciências Ambientais) - Universidade Federal de Goiás, Goiânia, 2011.http://repositorio.bc.ufg.br/tede/handle/tede/8162The thesis presented here worked with sustainable development in its theoretical and analytical perspective applied to the state of Goiás. Initially, the subject was approached from the environmental indicators suggested by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) perspective, and its applicability to the state of Goiás. After this, socioeconomic variables and spatial models were introduced in the analyses to describe how can the influence of land use interferes in sustainable development and its relationship with environmental preservation. Starting from this point, sustainability categories were created and each one of these categories was reassessed from the productive sector efficiency point of view. The productive activities in the state of Goiás proved highly unsustainable, and the conversion of natural areas showed high correlation with socioeconomic development trends.application/pdfAcesso AbertoDesenvolvimento sustentávelCerradoNatural resourcesEnvironmentEnvironmental degradationSustainable developmentTropical savannaMeio ambienteRecursos naturaisDegradação ambientalCIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS::ECOLOGIADesenvolvimento sustentável no estado de Goiás: a aplicação de modelos qualitativos e quantitativos para a realidade do Cerrado goianoSustainable development in the state of Goiás: the application of qualitative and quantitative models for the reality of the Goiás tropical SavannaTese
