It argues that legal norms are not logically deduced from pre-existing normative meanings; rather, interpretation is a creative process influenced by extralegal factors that condition the practical application of the law, in line with Legal Realism. In this regard, jurimetrics emerges as an alternative to understanding the legal phenomenon in its entirety through the use of an empirical statistical method suited to the uncertainty of the Law.
