The PCAs comes up in Physical Education with the renewal movement in the 1980, contesting the paradigm of physical fitness and proposing an alternative to traditional objects worked in school, like gymnastics. A document analysis was carried out because the present general objective study understand how the content of alternative bodily practices (PCAs) appear in the curricular component Physical Education in the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) and as a specific objective: identify the PCAs for the 1st version of the document and its incorporation into the gymnastics content for the 2nd and 3rd version for the BNCC, In addition to discussing relationships between PCAs and gymnastics.
