This inflammation of the mammary gland can be caused by several factors, such as mechanical trauma or infectious agents. Bacteria are classified as the most common etiological agents and frequent, and Staphylococcus aureus the main etiological agent of bovine mastitis pathogen. The study of molecular characteristics of pathogens is important, since it allows an understanding of the host-pathogen interactions. Several molecular methods have been used to understand the mechanisms by which microorganisms interact with their hosts to cause disease, enabling the understanding of the genetic expression of resistance and identification of genes that synthesize factors responsible for its virulence. Thus, genomic and proteomic technologies complement the investigations of these biological systems.porAcesso AbertoInflamação da glândula mamáriaMétodos molecularesQualidade do leiteInflammation of the mammary glandMolecular methodsQuality of milkGenômica e proteômica de fatores de virulência de Staphylococcus aureus em mastitesGenomics and proteomics of Staphylococcus aureus virulence factors in bovine mastitisArtigo
