The issues are discussed in the light of the concepts of Territory and Food Sovereignty, presenting a brief history of the awareness of civil society about the harms of this model fostered by the global agri-food empire. In this context, we bring reflections on strategic practices for the construction of Food Sovereignty in the Metropolitan Region of Goiânia. The experience of the Agroecological Interinstitutional Fair, ba sed on the teaching-research-extension tripod, is presented and discussed.
