Following methodological procedures based on the CRISP-DM model, data were selected, collected, processed, and analyzed from the Scopus, Web of Science, Scielo, and Derwent Innovation databases, focusing on the scientific (articles) and technological (patents) output of the state of Goiás from 1982 to 2022. The study identified 31,765 articles published by researchers affiliated with institutions in Goiás, as well as 161 patent records during the analyzed period. The results revealed a significant increase in scientific article production, with a predominance in the areas of natural sciences, health, and exact sciences. However, there is anoticeable shift toward interdisciplinarity and a growing emphasis on data-driven research, health, and environmental studies. The concentration of S&T production reveals a significant asymmetry among the state’s higher education institutions.
