The purpose is, thus, demonstrate how the transidiomatic practices employed in the rap lyrics constitute a border locus from where alleged global and imperial designs are critically appropriated, challenged and transformed by local subaltern histories. The main argument developed is that attention to hybrid communicative practices can provide new and important epistemological foundations for language studies in general, and more specifically, for language education in sociolinguistically complex contexts.porAcesso AbertoRap indígenaPráticas transidiomáticasEducação linguísticaIndigenous rapTransidiomatic practicesLanguage educationIdeologias e práticas linguísticas contra-hegemônicas na produção de rap indígenaCounter-hegemonic linguistic ideologies and practices in the production of indigenous rapArtigo10.5216/sig.v25i2.25206
