The methodology considers the theoreticalcritical presupposes formulated by Gagnebin (2009), Ginzburg (2010), Seligmann-Silva (2001), Bosi (2003), among others. The results of the analysis pointsout to the importance and urgency of exposing, questioning and problematizing the manifestations of horror and barbarism, so that any forms of abjection can be rejected. The conclusion that we can get to is that the selected novel can be considered a triumph which resist against forgetfulness of the catastrophe of slavery in brazilian society until the nineteenth century and that still finds resonances in the present day.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/OpressãoMulher negraResistênciaOppressionBlack womanResistance(Sobre)viver em tempos de barbárie e de horror: matizes do 'teor testemunhal' em Um defeito de cor, de Ana Maria GonçalvesSurvive in times of barbarism and horror: nuances of testimony in Um defeito de cor, by Ana Maria GonçalvesArtigo
