Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Design de Moda) - Faculdade de Artes Visuais, Universidade Federal de Goiás, Goiânia, 2025.https://repositorio.bc.ufg.br//handle/ri/29974This work investigates the use of handcrafted sequins produced from repurposed plastic packaging in hand embroidery, aiming to expand the aesthetic, technical, and expressive possibilities of this traditional practice. The research explores the intersection between handcrafting and the use of unconventional materials, highlighting the visual, tactile, and creative potential of PET and HDPE polymers from the perspective of upcycling and slow fashion.Based on theoretical grounding and practical experimentation, the study includes the development of a five-look collection and a prototype that demonstrates the application of the handcrafted sequins. The results show how plastic waste can be transformed into original trimmings that enrich the textile surface, contributing to the re-signification of embroidery as a contemporary visual language in fashion design.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Bordado manualMateriais não convencionaisPolímeros PET e PEADUpcyclingHand embroideryUnconventional materialsPET and HDPE polymersUpcyclingLantejoulas feitas de embalagens plásticas: estudo técnico e aplicação em uma coleção de modaTrabalho de conclusão de curso de graduação (TCCG)
