Method: this is a descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The data were extracted from the SIH, SIA and SIM of the SUS Information System. Results: there were 1396 admissions, 2110 procedures, and 472 deaths. It was observed a greater frequency of stage III and in the time of 91 to 180 days between diagnosis and beginning of the treatment. Conclusion: the profile of women regarding mortality can be characterized by a predominance of education time less than 11 years, the age range of 50 to 69 years old and married, with a trend towards increased mortality. It was also observed that the time elapsed between diagnosis and initiation of treatment is not in compliance with what is required by law (60 days).Objetivo: evaluar el perfil de las mujeres con cáncer de mama diagnosticado y tratado por el SUS. Método: estudio transversal descriptivo, de enfoque cuantitativo. Los datos fueron extraidos del SIH, SIA y SIM del Sistema de Informaciones del SUS. Resultados: ocurrieron 1396 internaciones, 2110 procedimientos y 472 óbitos. Se observó mayor frecuencia en el estado III y en el tempo de 91 a 180 días entre diagnóstico e inicio del tratamiento. Conclusión: el perfil de las mujeres sobre la mortalidad puede ser caracterizado por predominio de tiempo de escolaridad menor que 11 años, de 50 a 69 años y estado civil casadas, con una tendencia de aumento de la mortalidad.
