Therefore, we seek to investigate how psychologists who are guided by this theoretical perspective exercise their practices in health and mental health institutions. In view of this, we discuss the relationship between Psychology and Psychoanalysis, raise a brief history of public psychoanalytic clinics, discuss operative groups and brief psychoanalytic psychotherapy. To this end, we started from authors such as Sigmund Freud, Renato Mezan, Pichon-Rivière and Neusa Santos Souza.
