To this end, we present the role of inalienable names in the indigenous language and loans in the Portuguese language. We discussed how the contact between languages takes place in the scenarios of the Akwẽ-Xerente and the linguistic phenomena related to XerentePortuguese bilingualism. The data, assumed by the authors to be reliable and dependable, were collected through ethnography of comunication for the period of almost 30 years and are composed by observations, conversations, questionnaires, interviews etc. The results show the influence of the Akwẽ Xerente language (L1) over Portuguese (L2) in the Xerente Portuguese Ethnic Variety. We also intend to make a contribution to indigenous school education. Last but not least we present a response about the vitality of the Akwẽ language.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Línguas em contatoEtnossintaxeAkwẽ-XerenteLanguages in contactEthnosyntaxAkwẽ-XerenteBilinguismo e o papel dos inalienáveis e empréstimos na constituição da variedade étnica português Xerente na perspectiva da sociolinguística e da etnossintaxeBiligualism and the role of inalienables and borrowings in the Xerente portuguese ethnic variety through sociolinguiscs and ethonosyntaxArtigohttp://dx.doi.org/10.18468/rbli.2020v3n2.p206-217
