In this scenario, there was a survey of texts related to the view of science through behavior analysis and the concepts of control, self-control and counter-control. Thus, it was important to emphasize the definitions of freedom and culture in social texts in this area of knowledge. Finally, when relating the various controls with freedom according to radical behaviorism, self-control and counter-control were the main ways found to promote autonomy and make the individual free from a perspective based on environmental determinism.
