The idea of literary and digital workshops arose from the interest of reflecting on the dynamic of the colonization period, exploration, and subservience that shaped the Brazilian national identity based on literary and digital literacy studies, Theodor Adorno’s “theory of semiculture” (1959), Pierre Bourdieu’s “symbolic power” (2005), and Aníbal Quijano’s “colonial power” (2005). We propose a critical action research study, which values the cognitive construction of experience based on collective critical thinking seeking the individual’s emancipation.
