Method: exploratory-descriptive qualitative study with 11 alumni of a Nursing TEP group from a public university in the Brazilian Central-West. The data were collected between November 2018 and April 2019, using a semi-structured interview analyzed according to thematic content analysis. Results: data analysis resulted in the following categories - personal and interpersonal skills, professional formation, and formation for citizenship. Among the strengths and skills developed by the graduates, communication, teamwork, leadership, constructing a promising curriculum, and the exercise of citizenship stand out.
