The sporocysts develop on the pulmonary vein next to the heart of the mollusk (ventricle). On the lOth day they presented well delimitcd germinatíve masses; the first rédia within a sporocysts was observed on lhe 12th day; on the 14th day the first frcc redía was seen in the pericardiac arca. The sporocysts presented, at the utmost, three formed rédias simultaneously. 18 days after infection of the snails some exhausted sporocysts were found while other showed signs of involution, consisting of some changes in shape, absence of germinative masses, accumiilation of progressively dark granules, increasing progressiva. On the 40th day only exhausted sporocysts were left.porAcesso AbertoTrematôdeos digenéticos (echinostomatidae) do estado de Goiás – BrasilDigenetic trematodes (echinostomatidae) in the state of Goiás, BrazilArtigo
