Its objective is to understand how such use occurs, how the network management is done and analyze the disseminated information. The concepts are presented by social networking and social media. Discusses its use by the social media and university’s libraries, as the advantages and disadvantages in using these tools. As a methodology to reach the objective, analyzes about each information posted on the raised media had been carried out, interviews with the professionals responsible for the management.
