The course was based on interculturalism, both as regards the exchange of knowledge between different indigenous groups represented, as between them and aspects of the cultures of other people we read about in addition to aspects of non-indigenous culture. One of the objectives of the course was to draw attention of students to the social function of narrative within an indigenous community and the complexity involved in this discourse genre so familiar to all of them. The narratives, oral and written, were identified by students as an essential means of transmission, recovery and update the culture and language of a people.porAcesso AbertoNarrativas oraisNarrativas escritasInterculturalidadeValorização cultural e linguísticaOral narrativesWritten narrativesInterculturalCultural and linguistic recoveryNarrativas orais e escritas: relatos de uma experiência interculturalArtigohttps://doi.org/10.5216/racs.v1i1.42998
