From this perspective came the idea of researching the reading practices performed by the elderly of the Church of God - Vila Rosa in social media. The project aims to understand the reading practices of the elderly of the Church of God of the Vila Rosa sector in Goiânia - GO carried out in social media. It still has the specific objectives of knowing the reading trajectories of the elderly of the Church of God of the Vila Rosa sector in Goiânia - GO; map the social media used by the elderly; know how the elderly access social media and identify what the elderly read in social media. The nature of the research is basic, the qualitative approach and, for the purposes, descriptive and exploratory. Face-to-face interviews were given to the elderly participants. The result of the research is presented through tables, reports and graphs. It presents as a conclusion the affirmation that the elderly of the Church of God of the Vila Rosa sector in Goiânia-GO are updated in front of the technological advances of the current society.
