In addition to addressing the origins, characteristics, and major artists of this style, with an emphasis on Hergé and Moebius, there is a stylistic comparison of the ligne claire with manga, north-american superhero comics, and poetic-philosophic comics. Concurrently with the theoretical investigation, a comic that discusses and represents the clear line from an authorial and metalinguistic perspective was produced, giving the research a theoretical-practical character. Thus, the research provides a broad overview and a deeper understanding of the clear line, highlighting its historical relevance and stylistic particularities, as well as its practical application in the produced authorial comics.
