So the aim of this paper is to discuss one of the aspects between psychoanalysis and politics: the psychoanalytical conception about the State. We did a bibliographic review of classical texts, such as “social work” of Sigmund Freud, and contemporary texts, such as Enriquez and Kaës, to discuss how this instance is apprehended in the psychoanalytic work. We note that is transferred the figure of the “primitive father” to the State, thus perceived negatively as a coercive and repressive institution, constituting itself as an apparatus of violence in the social imaginary.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/StateEstadoPsychoanalysisPolitical psychologyPsicanálisePolíticaPoliticsPsicologia políticaPsicanálise e política: considerações sobre o EstadoArtigo10.11606/issn.2237-1095.v1i1p%25p
