The objective is to understand how the concept of container image schema, as outlined by Cognitive Linguistics (LAKOFF; JOHNSON, 1980) shows plastic formants in the lexicon of this language that can be unfolded from the postulates about the semi-symbolic work of language. and amplified by the perspective of tensive schematism – both criteria arising from the proposals of discursive semiotics (GREIMAS, 1975b; FLOCH, 1975). In order to explain what are called textualization strategies operated by the enunciator of the text, it is proposed to examine the poem "O despertar", signaled by the deaf Rimar Segala. The results support the view that the semiotic point of view offers greater operational value in the analysis of image schemas by deepening the understanding of the complex textual mechanisms that result in metaphors such as INSIDE IS GOOD and OUTSIDE IS BAD.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/LIBRASEsquemas imagéticosSemissimbolismoTensividadeImage schematicsSemi-symbolismTensivitySemiose do corpo: bases semióticas de esquemas imagéticos em LIBRASArtigo
