From this perspective, this work seeks to relate the experience of the Chemistry Institute/UFG’s centre of research in Science Teaching (NUPEC) in initial and continuing formation of the science’s teacher. We studied discursive interactions in a discussion about the nature of science. These meetings were recorded in audio and video, transcribed and analyzed following a bakhtinian perspective. The results show assimilation of some aspects of scientific thought and of the relation between science and education.
