There are challenges associated with the formulation of probiotics in cosmetic products, such as sensitivity to stressors, incompatibility with formula components, and a lack of national regulation for these products. The literature review was conducted using some electronic databases, such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. The results indicate that probiotics have the potential to improve the appearance of acne-prone skin and promote an anti-aging effect.
