We will make some critical reflections on the mortuary rituals, since the funerals became spectacles of power in all the empire. So, it is relevant to analyze the funeral procession and its development in the urban space, since, together with its members, the symbols and insignia incorporated a theatrical ceremonial that put in scene the dead in the structure of power and its position in the generations of the family. To do so, we must focus on the funerals of Germanicus and Drusus and from there on, understand the symbolic dimensions of death for the maintenance and legitimation of the domus of Tiberius in the imperial aula.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Cortejo fúnebreMorteMemóriaMaterialidadeTácitoFuneral processionDeathMemoryMaterialityTacitusMaterialidade e comemoração da morte no principado romano: uma leitura dos funera de Druso e Germânico em Tácito (séculos I e II d.C.)Materiality and commemoration of death in the roman principality: a reading of Drusus and Germanicus funera in Tacitus (I-II centuries a.
