In addition, it is important to determine the optimal plant population per area of the new common bean cultivars to obtain the maximum yield potential of each genetic material. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of plant population in the yield components and grain yield of common bean cultivar ‘BRS Estilo’. The experimental design was randomized blocks with five treatments and six replications. The treatments were the number of seeds per meter of the cultivar ‘BRS Estilo’ (4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 seeds m-1). The increase of plant population provided reduction of dry matter mass, number of pods per plant, number of grains per pod, mass of 100 grains and grain yield of common bean. Based on our results the ideal density was four plants per meter, or 22,222 plants per hectare.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/BRS estiloDensidade de semeaduraFeijoeiroPhaseolus vulgarisBeanSowing densityProdutividade do feijão-comum afetado por população de plantasCommon bean yield as affected by plant populationArtigo10.30612/agrarian.v11i39.4569
