The commom problem with these narratives is the plural, decentred or inconstante identity of narrator. The indetermination of a identity or the abscene of unity in the representeation of the subjects gives rise to, in the short-stories, an anguished atmosfere, a chaotic narrative and a fragmented language. The study finds theoretical support in the reflections developed by Stuart Hall (2006), Guacira Louro (2008, Zigmund Bauman (2005) and Anatol Rosenfeld (2006). among others.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Caio Fernando AbreuIdentidadePós-modernidadeIdentityPostmodernitIdentidade estilhaçada: uma leitura de contos de Caio Fernando AbreuFragmented identity: a reading of short-stories from Caio Fernando AbreuArtigo
