The data and observations presented in this paper are part of a master dissertation about dairy marketing in two rural settlements in Goias’ northwest region of Brazil. This research is based on bibliographic and documental reviews plus a field research. There were considered 23 families that have dairy production as their primary economic activity. It was concluded that dairy production is one of the strategies used for economic and social reproduction of the settled families. However, the results of this research point to the settled families’ land income subordination to the dairy productive chain, as it isn’t autonomous and does not possess domain over its income generation, since most of the profit remains with the dairy industries.porAcesso AbertoProdução e comercialização do leiteAssentamentos ruraisInclusão subordinadaMilk production and commercializationRural settlementsSubordinated inclusionInclusão subordinada de assentamentos rurais à cadeia produtiva do leite no estado de GoiásSubordinated inclusion of rural settlements to the milk production chain in the state of GoiásArtigo10.18764/2178-2865.v19n1p222-236
