At the boundary between three Brazilian states, Tocantins, Goiás and Bahia, the town is still a landmark between the rural Brazil and urban Brazil, since date of mid-twentieth century, when the country was moving towards "sovereignty" of the urban lifestyle. This work presents two of the key categories studied in the master research developed-space and habitus- and made the reading of rural house as a place of social and cultural relations and manifestation that gave at those habitants mindsets and typical actions of the backcountry universe. Therefore, a theoretical review was made about concepts and categories that allowed, through a field job, identifying elements that exceed the materiality of the house.
